Job DetailsJob Location: Apex Sign Group -TX - San Antonio, TX 78222Job Summary Under general supervision, performs a variety of custodial duties to maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the building. Essential Job Duties Insure cleanliness of inside of building as well as exterior. Operate equipment in order for hauling purposes and for trash and debris removal. Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming Gather and empty trash inside and outside production areas and other areas as requested. Service, clean, and supply production restrooms or other areas as requested Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies, boxes etc. either manually or by using hand trucks. Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clear debris from grounds. Cleans production break room. Sweeps warehouse floor throughout the work day. Breaks down empty boxes in warehouse Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating system QualificationsSkill and Education Requirements High School Diploma or equivalency 1 to 2 years experience Applicable Experience Proven experience as a, janitor or similar role Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment Knowledge of safe disposal of chemical liquids and other hazardous components Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices Computer Literacy: Not required  Technical Requirements: Attention to detail and conscientiousness Physical and Environmental Must be able to access and function within areas key to productivity. Adequate manual dexterity to operate assigned and shared office equipment. Must speak English clearly and fluently to communicate on a wide range of topics. Average adult reading comprehension, and grammatically correct written communication skills. Comprehension of job requirements and procedures. Can initiate and perform work assignments under minimal supervision that may be broad, varied, and complex in nature. Recognition of out-of-tolerance situations with appropriate action taken. Able to choose the correct course of action from a given set of variables. Ability to use educated and intuitive judgment to make decisions with limited direction.
