Job Summary

We are seeking a licensed Journeyman Plumber who is willing and able to travel throughout Texas to support commercial and industrial construction projects in South Texas, North Texas, and Central Texas. The ideal candidate will have experience installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems while working safely and efficiently in a construction environment.

 

This role requires flexibility to travel to various job sites as project needs dictate. Per diem is provided for qualifying travel assignments.

 

Location: Texas (Travel Required)
Travel Areas: South Texas, North Texas, and Central Texas
Per Diem: Provided for eligible projects requiring travel

Essential Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
  • Perform layout and installation of plumbing systems under the direction of a Leadman, Foreman, or Superintendent.
  • Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures including sinks, toilets, urinals, water heaters, water softeners, and related equipment.
  • Install domestic water, sanitary waste and vent, storm drainage, natural gas, and process piping systems.
  • Locate and mark pipe routes, penetrations, and connection points.
  • Cut openings in walls, floors, and ceilings to accommodate plumbing installations.
  • Install sleeves, roof penetrations, and wall penetrations as required.
  • Cut, thread, groove, solder, braze, fuse, and assemble piping systems using proper tools and techniques.
  • Perform system testing using water and air pressure testing methods.
  • Operate construction equipment such as scissor lifts, aerial lifts, and forklifts when qualified.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area and comply with all safety requirements and PPE standards.
  • Mentor apprentices and assist less experienced team members when needed.
  • Travel to project sites throughout Texas as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Minimum Requirements

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.

Licensing

  • Current Texas Journeyman Plumber License required.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record preferred.

Experience

  • 4+ years of commercial or industrial plumbing experience preferred.
  • Experience working on large-scale construction projects is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of applicable plumbing codes and industry standards.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Ability to guide apprentices and support project teams.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively throughout Texas.

Travel Requirements

  • Must be willing to travel and work on projects located throughout South Texas, North Texas, and Central Texas.
  • Travel duration may vary based on project needs.
  • Overnight travel may be required.
  • Per diem provided for qualifying travel assignments.
  • Transportation assistance may be provided based on project location and company policy.
