About the Role

The Lifecycle Marketing Manager will be a critical member of the Marketing Team, reporting directly to the VP of Marketing. This role focuses on the end-to-end customer journey, and experience within the financial services/fintech sector is required. You will be responsible for developing and executing data-driven strategies to convert leads, engage active users, and retain existing customers through personalized multi-channel communications.

What You'll Do

Strategic Lifecycle Management

  • Develop comprehensive marketing strategies to increase customer engagement, retention, and app usage.

  • Design and implement an automated onboarding comms journey aimed at encouraging users to complete the steps to becoming a member.

  • Execute re-engagement and "win-back” and retention campaigns to speak to members who have canceled membership or not interacted with the app in specific intervals to prevent attrition.

  • Collaborate closely with the Product Team to align marketing strategies with product development and feature launches.

  • Coordinate with Member Experience to manage inbound ticket volume that communications may cause.

Content Creation & Communication

  • Write compelling, clear, and concise marketing communications, including emails, push notifications, and in-app banners.

  • Manage communication platforms (such as Iterable) to deliver consistent messaging across the user journey.

  • Oversee and manage transactional communications, including essential user alerts like receipts and late payment notifications.

  • Ensure all communications adhere to strict financial services compliance guidelines.

  • Manage the capacity and calendar for communications within Iterable to prevent message fatigue and ensure timely deployment.

  • Be responsible for the quick response and deployment of urgent communications, including Legal/Compliance updates and annual policies.

Optimization & Testing

  • Build and maintain a robust A/B Testing Agenda focused on messaging, creative elements, and delivery sequencing to improve conversion and engagement metrics.

  • Analyze user behavior to identify opportunities for cross-selling products, such as Marketplace initiatives or new lending products.

  • Monitor performance metrics and collaborate with the analytics team to drive data-informed decisions.

Who You Are

  • Deep expertise in customer lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and automated sequencing.

  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Iterable) and CRM systems.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and conduct meaningful A/B tests.

  • Detail-oriented project management skills, capable of working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Strong aesthetic judgment and an eye for creative quality in all visual and messaging assets.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in marketing, with a significant focus on existing customer engagement and lifecycle management.

  • Required experience in the financial services or fintech industry.

  • Proven track record of authoring communications that drive specific user actions, such as finishing onboarding or adopting new features.
