Job Description and Requirements
The Mortgage Retail Loan Officer is responsible for the origination of FHA/VA, Conventional, Portfolio and Jumbo mortgage loans in accordance with government, FNMA, RBFCU or investor guidelines. The Loan Officer will conduct a thorough needs analysis, which will assist in guiding borrowers into the most suitable loan program; collaborate with various internal/external partners throughout the entirety of the mortgage process; build and maintain relationships with Kuper Realty and other non-affiliated Realtor and Builder groups; and will serve as the source of contact throughout the origination process.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Interview, collect, examine and evaluate borrower financial and personal data to counsel and recommend appropriate residential lending products.
Build and maintain relationships with referral partners.
Accurately complete required disclosures as required.
Submit loan through an AUS to determine eligibility.
Interpret AUS findings and communicate required documentation items needed for closing.
Review earnest money contract for pertinent information as it relates to the loan transaction.
Obtain and analyze required member documents related to mortgage loan request.
Effectively manage the mortgage transaction by communicating with all parties involved including borrowers, real estate agents, builders and/or other third-party partners.
Serve as a member advocate, while maintaining the integrity of all RBFCU's policies and procedures.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 12 months experience as a loan officer or processor utilizing Fannie Mae Desktop Underwriter
Ability to perform in a high volume and fast paced environment while maintaining a pipeline of within institution service level requirements
Proficiency with Excel, Outlook, Word, Power Point and DocuSign
Ability to support referral partners during the evening or on weekends
Ability to attended community outreach and business development events as needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to pass the registration requirements for the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System
Ability to work Saturday shifts as necessary
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Experience with Encompass LOS and Blend POS
