Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated P4 / S4 Salvagnini Operator to join our manufacturing team. 

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in sheet metal fabrication, a strong understanding of quality 

systems, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement. 



Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation & Setup

  •  Set up and operate Salvagnini P4 panel benders and S4 punch/shear machines per production 

requirements. 

  •  Safely load and unload sheet metal materials.
  •  Interpret work orders, blueprints, and engineering drawings for accurate part production.
  •  Perform tool selection, adjustments, and basic programming edits as needed.

Quality & Documentation

  •  Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, tape measures, micrometers, gauges) 
  •  Identify, troubleshooting, and resolve quality issues, report deviations to supervisors and quality teams.
  •  Maintain accurate documentation of production, defects, and corrective actions.

Safety & Housekeeping 

  •  Adhere to OSHA and company safety procedures, including proper use of PPE, lockout/tagout procedures.
  •  Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
  •  Perform routine machine inspections, cleaning, lubrication and minor maintenance.
  •  Promptly report any mechanical or operational issues to the supervisor.

Teamwork & Communication 

  •  Monitor production flow and coordinate with upstream/downstream operations for efficiency.
  •  Maintain organized tooling, workstations, and material staging areas.
  •  Recommend process improvements to enhance safety, quality, machine utilization, and overall 

productivity.

Work Environment

  •  Manufacturing floor environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metalworking processes.
  •  PPE required (safety glasses, steel-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection, etc.).


Requirements

 Required Qualifications: 

• HS Diploma or GED. 

• Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication principles. 

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.

 • Proficiency with measurement tools and basic quality inspection processes. 

• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. 

• Ability to lift to 50lbs and stand for extended periods. 

• Commitment to safety and quality standards. 


Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Salvagnini, AMADA, Trumpf, or other CNC fabrication machinery. 

• Familiarity with automated manufacturing and lean production environments.

 • Basic understanding of CNC programming or software used with Salvagnini machines (e.g., SDD, S4CAM).

 • Forklift or overhead crane operation certification.
