Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed - Shopping Center Patrol in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Armed Security Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and team members. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Deliver exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and represent Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and integrity-driven culture.

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate store leadership and emergency responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout retail sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify authorized entry where applicable, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with customers, employees, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess a Level III Armed Guard Card in Texas.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
