To keep up with our growth, we are seeking a Senior Accountant who will support our company’s product delivery to include the onsite Install inspections, field install documentation creation, finished goods quality inspections, onsite field repairs and 3rd party testing management.

About the Role

This role is a Full Time, salaried role that reports to the Accounting Manager. This role will be in office where day-to-day work will occur in the San Antonio, Texas office.

This role will require up to 10% travel requirements, fully paid by the company, to various locations depending on business needs.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for the preparation and execution of RPH's core accounting processes and serves as a key contributor to an accurate and timely monthly close. The role combines general ledger and close responsibilities with selected AP, AR, cash application, commission, audit-support, and reporting activities that remain after the automation of transactional Accounting Associate work.

About You

This position reports to the Accounting Manager, has no direct reports, and is intended for an accountant who can independently execute assigned processes, produce high-quality supporting schedules, and grow into broader accounting responsibility over time. Inventory accounting remains primarily owned by the Inventory Accountant.

Essential Functions

• Prepare all assigned non-inventory month-end close schedules, reconciliations, accruals, journal-entry support, and underlying financial reporting schedules; research and resolve reconciling items and account variances.

• Maintain accurate, audit-ready support and complete assigned close responsibilities on time to support RPH’s 10-day monthly close target.

• Perform first-level review of AP activity flowing from Emburse Enterprise into NetSuite, ensuring bills are imported and coded appropriately and investigating exceptions, discrepancies, and vendor account issues before escalation.

• Manage routine customer collections and aging follow-up, identify overdue or problematic accounts for escalation, and communicate with customers regarding payment.

• Apply customer cash receipts timely and accurately, research unapplied or misapplied cash, and reconcile customer account discrepancies.

• Own preparation of sales representative commission reporting, including NetSuite calculations, required Excel adjustments, commission accruals, supporting documentation, and research of discrepancies or disputes.

• Coordinate with Sales and representatives as needed and submit completed commission reporting to the Accounting Manager for review and final approval with the Director of Sales.

• Prepare audit/PBC schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation, and assist the Accounting Manager with 1099s, sales-tax support, payroll accounting reconciliations, and other compliance activities.

• Assist with documentation and maintenance of accounting SOPs and related process support.

• Effectively use NetSuite, Emburse, Excel, and other finance systems while monitoring automated workflows and feeds for accuracy and resolving exceptions.

• Support continuous process improvement, automation adoption, system testing, workflow enhancements, and accounting process documentation in partnership with the Accounting Manager.

Core Requirements

• You have 2-3 successful years as a of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.

• CPA or active progress toward CPA preferred

• Manufacturing or distribution experience preferred.

• NetSuite experience preferred.

• Strong Excel skills preferred.

• Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to independently manage recurring responsibilities, meet deadlines, and produce accurate, well-supported work.

• Interest and capability to grow into broader accounting and future management responsibilities

• You have a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Details

• The starting compensation range for this position is $85,000-$95,000 and will be determined based upon a candidate’s experience and location.

• The typical working hours for this position are 8:00AM-4:30PM CST

• This job position is exempt to overtime as determined by the FLSA standards.

• Travel is expected for this position up to [5%], which is anticipated to be overnight in several domestic locations. International travel may be required in the future depending on business needs.
