Job Summary
We're looking for a Senior CNC Programmer to support the development, optimization, and implementation of advanced machining processes for aerospace and industrial gas turbine components. In this role, you'll work across New Product Introduction (NPI), Repair, and OEM programs, creating efficient manufacturing solutions that improve quality, productivity, and business performance. This position combines hands-on CNC programming expertise with cross-functional collaboration, allowing you to make a direct impact on manufacturing excellence across the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and optimize machining processes for new and repaired turbine, compressor, and stator components.
- Create CNC programs from CAD models, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Support fixture design, tooling selection, and process implementation.
- Prove out and validate programs on 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills, lathes, mill/turn machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
- Support first-article builds and transition new processes into production.
- Troubleshoot machining challenges and drive improvements in cycle time, tool life, quality, and process capability.
- Maintain CNC programs, manufacturing documentation, and controlled procedures.
- Create and modify 3D models to support programming, tooling, and fixture design.
- Partner with production, engineering, quality, and operations teams to solve complex manufacturing issues.
- Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles.
- Present technical recommendations and project updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Support mid-sized technical projects from concept through implementation.

What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of CNC programming or machining experience within aerospace, power generation, or a related precision manufacturing environment.
- Strong 5-axis CAM programming experience, preferably with Siemens NX or GibbsCAM.
- Deep knowledge of machining methods, cutting tools, materials, fixtures, and process optimization.
- Experience machining aerospace alloys including nickel, titanium, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Ability to interpret GD&T, engineering drawings, and manufacturing specifications.
- Working knowledge of gas turbine components and manufacturing processes.
- Experience with 3D CAD modeling and model-based manufacturing concepts.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex machining challenges.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, quality, and production teams.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.

Nice to Have
- Associate degree or Technical Diploma in Machining, Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
- Industry-recognized CNC, machining, or manufacturing certifications.
- Experience with Siemens Sinumerik, FANUC, and Heidenhain controls.
- Experience with macro programming, probing, and advanced machine automation.
- Knowledge of CMM inspection, laser scanning, white-light scanning, and precision measurement systems.
- Familiarity with FAA PMA, DER, or aerospace regulatory requirements.
- Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement experience.

- Combination of office, engineering, and manufacturing shop floor environments.
- Frequent use of computers, CAD/CAM software, and manufacturing systems.
- Regular interaction with CNC machining centers and manufacturing equipment.
- Ability to work in production environments requiring appropriate PPE.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout manufacturing facilities for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of tooling, fixtures, or components in accordance with company safety guidelines.

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions.
