Job DetailsJob Location: Roosevelt (Corporate Offices) - San Antonio, TX 78210Reports to: Controller                                                                                                   Department: Accounting                   Classification: Exempt                                                                                                   Travel: None     JOB SUMMARY:  The Staff Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of the organization’s financial records. This role involves recording, reconciling, and analyzing financial transactions to maintain integrity in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements. The Staff Accountant collaborates with the Controller and cross-functional teams to gather data, resolve discrepancies, and provide financial insights that support informed organizational decision-making    JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  Participate in month-end close by preparing journal entries, performing balance sheet reconciliations, and analyzing variances.  Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile accounts payable and accounts receivable.  Support payroll by completing bi-weekly payroll entries, monthly accruals, and account reconciliations on a as-needed basis.  Maintain and reconcile fixed asset schedules, including acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation.  Handle intercompany transactions and reconcile related accounts.  Prepare and file all required state sales tax returns.  Assist with audit preparation, including preparing schedules and compiling documentation.  Partner with operations and other functional teams to resolve discrepancies and support process improvements.  Uphold internal controls, accounting policies, and GAAP compliance.  Perform other tasks and projects as assigned.  Demonstrate and embodies our values: Be Limitless, Be Resilient, Be People Centered, Be a Team, and Be Trustworthy  QualificationsThis job description does not imply these are the only duties to be performed.
