This is a mission critical position as defined by the customer.

 

Day Shift Schedule.
Your Watch Desk schedule repeats every two weeks: 3 days on and 4 days off, then 4 days on and 3 days off:
6:00am - 6:00pm (Thursday thru Saturday and every other Wednesday) This is the available shift for this position.

 

 

Due to federal contract requirements, United States Citizenship and position appropriate security clearance is required. (e.g. Active TS/SCI security clearance with agency appropriate polygraph).

Capabilities
  • Monitoring OS and Applications
  • Troubleshooting OS and Applications and escalating as required
  • Troubleshooting dataflow and escalating as required
  • Troubleshooting network issue and escalating as required
  • Ability to read a variety of Graphs of systems information and interpret them to discern correct operations
  • Good communications skills written and verbal
  • Ability to dissect complex issues and generate concise accurate status
  • Generating metrics and reports for submission to customers using disparate data sources
  • Generating SOPs for use by the members of the Watch desk and/or customers
  • Ability to lead small team of WD shift personnel
  • Ability to direct and provide meaningful guidance to teammates
  • Maintain schedules as required


Required Qualifications
  • TS/SCI with agency appropriate poly
  • Twenty (20) years experience as a SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required.
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and leading Systems Engineering efforts is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.
  • Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
  • Security Plus Certification (or willingness to attain within 6 months)


Required Technical Skills
  • Systems troubleshooting including hardware and software, Linux, Analysis capabilities, Communications, Java/ Scripting in ruby/python/bash, SOP development, familiarity with: Rancher, Ansible, Elastic Search, Redis, Solr, Data Flow, Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Linux skills, Nagios, Grafana, Prometheus
  • Experience with RTRG Mission analytics operation and use


Desired Technical Skills
  • AWS knowledge/experience

Compensation will vary dependent upon factors including but not limited to: Government contract rates; education; relevant prior work experience, knowledge, skills, and competencies; certifications, and geographic location. *Hourly pay rates reflect the pre-benefit gross wage amounts.
