Workday Application Developer

Role Overview 

We are seeking a hardworking, innovative, and collaborative Workday Application Developer to join our team. In this role, you will support the successful implementation of Workday HCM solutions for our clients, from statement of work (SOW) through hyper care. 

The ideal candidate has hands-on Workday functional consulting experience, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work closely with both clients and internal project teams. You should be self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a passion for delivering high-quality solutions. 

Key Responsibilities

•    Support the implementation of Workday HCM solutions across the full project lifecycle, including design, configuration, testing, and hyper care 
•    Gather and understand client business requirements and translate them into Workday configurations 
•    Configure and demonstrate Workday solutions using prototype systems 
•    Assist clients with testing activities, including unit testing and user acceptance testing 
•    Support the conversion of legacy HR data into Workday 
•    Collaborate with the integration team to help configure and test integrations with third-party or custom solutions 
•    Apply Workday’s implementation methodology across all engagements 
•    Ensure clients fully leverage Workday’s delivered functionality and best practices 
•    Share product knowledge and collaborate with other consultants 

Required Qualifications

•    5+ years of experience implementing at least one Workday HCM module, such as Core HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, Integrations, Reporting and Compensation
•    Strong functional experience in Core HCM, Benefits, Recruiting, or Integrations (required); additional modules are a plus 
•    Prior consulting experience with a consulting or software services organization 
•    Experience implementing HR systems such as Workday, SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft, ADP, UKG (Ultimate), or similar platforms 
•    Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills 
Preferred Qualifications 
•    Functional experience across multiple HCM areas Benefits, Recruiting, Compensation, integrations, Prism Reporting) 
•    Experience supporting multiple HCM projects simultaneously 
•    Business analysis and requirements-gathering experience 
•    Ability to learn new technologies quickly through formal training and self-directed learning 
•    Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience 

Education and Certifications

•    Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent relevant experience.
•    Required: workday Certification in any of two modules 

This role is 100% onsite in San Antonio, TX; relocation is required if not currently local.
