We are currently looking to hire a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team at Eagle Veterinary Hospital in San Antonio, Texas!

Location: 4701 McCollough Ave, San Antonio, TX 78212

Salary: competitive and dependent on experience

Schedule: 4-day week, with every other Saturday

Eagle Veterinary Hospital has provided trusted veterinary care to the Olmos Park community for over 25 years.  We’re more than just a clinic - we're a full-service medical and surgical hospital offering wellness exams, vaccinations, dentistry, diagnostics, surgery, and an online pharmacy. Furthermore, we are proud to care for exotic pets as well as cats and dogs. Our beautiful, environmentally-friendly facility has separate areas for different species to ensure the best experience possible for our beloved patients.

Who You Are:

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Texas, or eligible to transfer/acquire state license within 3 months of hire
  • 3 + years of veterinary clinical experience, as a veterinary technician or assistant
  • Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
  • Passion for working with animals and their owners
  • Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
  • Solid understanding of animal behavior and healthcare
  • Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Dental Experience; scaling, polishing, charting, radiographs
  • Skilled in phlebotomy, IV Catheter placement, applying casts, bandages and splints
  • Anesthesia monitoring and surgical experience including intubation, monitoring, pre-operative and post-operative care
  • Confident with medical math and drug calculations
  • Laboratory skills including cytology set-up and interpretation
  • Diagnostic experience including digital radiology, dental radiology, and ultrasound-guided cystocentesis
  • And all other duties of a Licensed Veterinary Technician as allowable by law
