Job Summary

The title for this position will be Warehouse /Logistics Manager – San Antonio. Reporting to the General Manager, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for managing all warehouse activities, including but not limited to manpower allocation, cycle counts, inventory rotation, stock location and consolidation, scheduling and planning of production schedules, and shipping & receiving operations. Supervises, assigns, and coordinates the activities of warehouse employees. Strong interface width upper management staff with the capability to define, develop and meet operational project schedule timeframes. Ensures all raw materials are staged and accounted for in production. Plans and monitors progress against schedules, resident on floor to resolve and take appropriate actions to meet projected schedule demands. Manages to metrics including staffing, overtime budgets, project schedules, outsourcing, as required.

Essential Duties

  • Pre-stage all raw materials prior to production each day.
  • Receive Finished Goods and WIP from production each day and reconcile received vs scheduled quantities.
  • Pre-stage outbound shipments in pre-assigned areas each day.
  • Receive Raw materials from vendors and place in pre-assigned locations.
  • Provide daily "week ahead" outlook reporting to warehouse staff, purchasing, scheduling and production managers and take appropriate actions to ensure 100% on time fulfillment of customer orders.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, spoils, fulfillment accuracy /timeliness and overtime.
  • Hire, train, and discipline warehouse personnel. Serve as a coach and mentor.
  • Inventory Accuracy: Oversee cycle counts, identify errors and corrective actions.
  • Ensure all food safety and sanitation protocols are completed as scheduled.
  • Maintain all warehouse equipment, racking, dock levelers, forklifts and other warehouse facilities.
  • Follow GMPs maintaining spotless work area free from debris, blood, wood, etc.

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum of three years experience in a warehouse and order-picking environment
  • Previous supervisory or lead role experience in warehouse environment
  • Familiar with handling food products
  • ERP system experience
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Stabile prior work history, strongly preferred
  • Ability to attract former colleagues viewed as indication of prior teamwork!
  • Bilingual, preferred
  • Bachelor's degree, preferred
