Litter Control

Position Summary:

Provides a variety of services to support MRFTS operations, including sweeping and cleaning, litter control, transfer trailer load trimming, and other cleaning/maintenance tasks.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Will provide sweeping and clean-up of truck clean-out and other areas.
• Will perform litter control on and offsite.
• May perform load trimming of transfer trailers using the overhead lifeline/catwalk.
• Will clean truck and axle scales.
• Will keep work area clean and organized.
• Will also perform other facility cleaning and maintenance.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Must have good judgement and be able to work safely
• Must be able to understand, follow, and implement all safety and other rules and procedures.
• Must be able to work around heavy equipment and vehicles
• Must have good organizational skills

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

• Experience working in and around heavy equipment

PHYSICAL:

• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

• Will be exposed to moderate noise and dust levels.
• Will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions (heat, rain, wind, snow, fog).
