Service Manager – ServicePlus Centers (San Bernardino & Fullerton)
Full-Time • Exempt • On-Site • Monday–Friday
Multiquip is looking for an experienced Service Manager to lead operations at our ServicePlus Centers in San Bernardino and Fullerton. This is a high-impact leadership role responsible for driving service excellence, developing a skilled team, and ensuring every customer receives fast, accurate, and reliable support.
You’ll oversee service writers, technicians, and coordinators while partnering with cross-functional teams to keep operations running smoothly and efficiently. What You’ll Do
- Lead daily operations across two ServicePlus Centers, including scheduling, assigning jobs, and managing technician productivity.
- Coordinate shop repairs and field service calls to ensure fast, efficient, and high-quality service completion.Â
- Build strong customer relationships by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive service experience.Â
- Manage and develop employees—overseeing performance, coaching, staffing needs, and time/expense approvals.Â
- Assign work based on technician skill level, tooling, and job requirements to maximize efficiency.Â
- Monitor shop and field operations using FieldAware, Geotag, and other tracking tools to ensure productivity and job progress.Â
- Maintain service policies, processes, and safety procedures aligned with Multiquip’s EH&S standards.Â
- Oversee parts and equipment inventory; ensure accurate records and timely replenishment.Â
- Collaborate across departments to support seamless service operations and company-wide goals.Â
- Ensure accurate reporting, documentation, and warranty evaluations.Â
What You Bring
Experience & Education
- 5+ years of experience in equipment repair, maintenance, or service operations—ideally in power generation or construction equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams and run efficient service operations.Â
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field is a plus.Â

- Clear, professional communication; able to explain technical information to technicians, managers, and customers.Â
- Strong relationship‑building abilities with employees, customers, and vendors.Â

Technical Skills
- Ability to read and apply manuals, schematics, service bulletins, and regulatory guidelines.Â
- Strong mechanical understanding of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and diagnostic practices.
- Proficient in diagnosing and resolving real-world equipment issues.Â
Leadership & People Management
- Proven experience developing and managing service teams.Â
- Able to address performance issues constructively while maintaining positive team morale.Â
- Consistent in recognizing strong performance and upholding policies and standards.Â

Computer Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiar with web-based applications for work orders, CRM, service reporting, warranty processing, etc. (HubSpot preferred).
Certificates, Licenses & Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.Â
- Able to operate warehouse and shop forklifts.Â
- Ability to travel within the U.S. and Canada as needed.
Physical RequirementsÂ
Regularly required to talk, hear, stand, walk, and sit; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs; must be able to stoop, kneel, and reach as needed. Includes vision requirements such as depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $110,000-$120,000/annually
- 11 paid HolidaysÂ
