EXECUTIVE CATERING CHEF – FULL TIME

Position Overview

Domenico Catering & Events is seeking an innovative and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate our menu offerings. You’ll partner closely with ownership and event leadership to shape menus, drive profitability, and elevate execution across hundreds of events each year.
What You’ll Own
Culinary Leadership
Lead, mentor, and develop a strong kitchen team. Set clear standards and build a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
Menu Strategy & Innovation
Design creative, market-driven menus that execute cleanly and profitably. Continuously evolve offerings while maintaining consistency and quality.
Operations & Systems
Build scalable prep, production, and service systems. Create structure that drives efficiency, consistency, and high-volume execution.
Quality Control
Oversee all food leaving the kitchen. Maintain high standards through tastings, recipe development, and team training.
Cost & Inventory Management
Manage purchasing, inventory, and portioning. Minimize waste, control food and labor costs, and protect margins.
Team Development & Training
Train and coach staff on technique, execution, and standards. Lead by example and foster a positive, high-performing environment.
What You’ll Do Day-to-Day
- Lead production planning and execution for upcoming events
- Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls
- Oversee prep, service, and real-time problem solving
- Collaborate with sales and events teams on menus and logistics
- Train, coach, and hold team members accountable
- Continuously refine systems, menus, and team performance
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume catering or events setting.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Must be bilingual in Spanish
- Experience with the software applications Margin Edge, Total Party Planner (TPP), Toast, Nowsta, and Deputy.
