Position Summary 

The Conformal Coating Technician is responsible for applying protective coating materials to printed circuit boards (PCBs) and electronic assemblies to protect against moisture, dust, chemicals, and temperature extremes. This role ensures products meet quality standards and industry specifications. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Apply conformal coating using spray, brush, dip, or automated processes. 
  • Inspect coated boards for coverage, thickness, and defects. 
  • Mask and demask components as required before and after coating. 
  • Perform touch-ups and rework on coated assemblies. 
  • Operate and maintain coating equipment and curing ovens. 
  • Follow work instructions, technical drawings, and quality standards. 
  • Record production data and maintain documentation. 
  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. 
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve defects. 

Qualifications 

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred. 
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing or coating applications is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of IPC standards (e.g., IPC-CC-830) is desirable. 
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and drawings. 
  • Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity. 
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.

Work Environment
