Job Summary

We’re looking for a Quality Lab Technician to support product quality, compliance, and reliability throughout the manufacturing process. In this role, you’ll perform inspections of work in progress, verify compliance to engineering and customer requirements, identify and document nonconformances, and help ensure products meet the highest quality standards before advancing through production.

Shift: 1st shift, Monday-Friday 5:30a-2:00p

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Provide quality control on Inspection support, and shipping / receiving inspection support.
  • Accurately read and follow engineering drawings, specifications, sampling procedures, designs, forms, and work instructions to document, evaluate, and communicate quality and reliability results.
  • Use precision measuring tools and inspection equipment to test and evaluate products.
  • Recommend modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
  • Validate completion of required manufacturing, assembly, and inspection activities before work advances.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects, discrepancies, and nonconformances.
  • Partner with Production, Engineering, and Quality teams to resolve quality issues.
  • Review inspection records, travelers, routers, and related documentation for accuracy and traceability.
  • Verify parts are properly identified, tagged, and routed.
  • Compile, evaluate, and report quality and reliability data.
  • Recommend improvements to quality and production standards.
  • Support continuous improvement and quality initiatives

 

What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2+ years of aviation, aerospace, manufacturing, or quality inspection experience.
  • 2+ years of dimensional and visual inspection experience on aviation-related equipment or components preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, customer specifications, and technical documents.
  • Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment.
  • Knowledge of quality inspection methods, sampling procedures, and documentation requirements.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a production environment.

 

Nice to Have

  • Associate degree in Aviation Technology, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification.
  • Aerospace manufacturing, repair, or maintenance experience.
  • Experience with statistical quality analysis.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements.

 

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Work is performed in a manufacturing and production environment.
  • Frequent use of precision measuring instruments, inspection equipment, and computer systems.
  • Requires visual inspection of parts, assemblies, and documentation with a high level of attention to detail.
  • May require standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling parts throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to comply with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required in designated work areas.

 

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.

The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
