Design and implementĀ Java-based backend servicesĀ that are scalable, performant, and maintainable.Ā
Build and manageĀ cloud-native data pipelines and microservicesĀ using AWS services such as EKS, S3, DynamoDB, SNS, and SQS.Ā
Develop andĀ optimizeĀ aĀ clinicalĀ data repository and patient data store, enabling longitudinal patient records and cohort-level analytics.Ā
Define, document, and implement RESTful interfacesĀ
Collaborate cross-functionallyĀ with product management, architecture, clinical informatics, and InfoSec teams to define data models and enforce standards and protocols.Ā
LeadĀ DevOps practicesĀ including CI/CD automation and infrastructure-as-code to improve delivery efficiency.Ā
Provide mentorship to junior engineers,Ā participateĀ in code reviews, and champion test-driven development and automation.Ā
Clearly communicate technical strategies, design decisions, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ā
Own the software development lifecycle for key platform features from design through deployment.Ā

Required QualificationsĀ
Bachelorās degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent professional experience.Ā
5+ years of hands-on experience developingĀ Java (Spring Boot)Ā backend systems.Ā
4+ years of experience working withĀ AWS cloud-native services.Ā
3+ years of experience withĀ NoSQL databases, data modeling, and schema design.Ā
Solid experience inĀ API design and implementation, especially RESTĀ based interfaces.Ā
Strong cross-functional collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities.Ā
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality software in regulated, healthcare-related environments.Ā

Preferred QualificationsĀ
Experience managingĀ data integrity, deduplication, and longitudinal patient recordsĀ
Hands-on experience withĀ Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation tools.Ā
Working knowledge ofĀ RDBMSĀ database systems such asĀ Microsoft SQL Server,Ā Postgresql, or cloud-native data warehouses.Ā
Understanding ofĀ healthcare compliance frameworks such asĀ HIPAA, FDA,Ā GxP, or similar regulatory standards.Ā

Individual pay decisions are based on a variety of factors, such as the candidateās geographic work location, relevant qualifications, work experience, and skills.
At ResMed, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.Ā Ā A reasonable estimate of the current base range for this position is: $129,000.00 - $193,000.00 USD Annual USD Annual USD Annual
