The Contracts Administrator is responsible for assisting in the management of various contracts. They will play a supporting role in achieving the organization's goals by preparing, negotiating, and reviewing contracts for federal projects. This position will collaborate with project managers, legal teams, and government agencies to develop and administer contracts.


CORE FUNCTIONS / JOB DUITES

Conducts the following with a high degree of autonomy:

Assist in the draft, review, and negotiation of various contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, government contracts, non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and Teaming Agreements (TA).

Prepare, negotiate, and review contracts for federal projects, ensuring compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations

Collaborate with project managers, legal teams, and government agencies to develop and administer contracts

Monitor contract performance and ensure adherence to terms and conditions

Executes contract modifications, change orders, and amendments and enters changes into Costpoint

Coordinate with the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA) during audits

Maintain accurate and up-to-date contract files and documentation

Analyze potential risks in contracts and recommend mitigation strategies

Stay informed about legislative changes affecting federal contracting

Provide guidance on contract interpretation and resolve contractual disputes

Assist in developing proposals for new government contracts


SKILLS & ABILITIES

Is an expert in:

FAR, DFARS, and other federal contracting regulations

Contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite

Negotiation skills

Department of Defense contracts

Government cost accounting standards (CAS)

DCAA audit procedures

DELTEK/Costpoint familiarity preferred

PIEE familiarity preferred

SAM.gov familiarity preferred


EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

GED and/or equivalent years of experience

Certificate in Contracts Management Required

Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) certification Preferred

PAY RANGE

$120,000.00 to $150,000.00 annually, DOE

SECURITY CLEARANCE

Candidates must have an active clearance OR the ability to obtain a US Government security clearance and will be subject to a US security background investigation (i.e. favorable background investigation / credit score). Additional eligibility requirements for access to various levels of classified information may also be required. An active security clearance is highly desirable.
