MGC's Audio team provides the audio foundation for various high profile features like Spatial Audio, Siri, FaceTime, media capture, and playback.

Description


As a Core Audio System Software engineer, you'll be responsible for developing and debugging audio system software for all of Apple's platforms. In particular, you will focus on the way audio is routed through the system, ensuring that any connected devices can be used to their full potential within the complex and feature-rich audio system. You will work across the full spectrum of audio experiences — from FaceTime calls to Siri interactions to media playback — across a wide range of connected accessories including HDMI, USB audio, and Bluetooth. The position will involve developing the software that is responsible for both running the audio hardware as well as exposing new audio features and capabilities throughout the system. The work involves close collaboration with hardware driver teams and various Apple technologies including Siri, AirPods, FaceTime, and AirPlay.

Minimum Qualifications


Excellent software design/programming skills in C++ Solid understanding of object-oriented methodologies, multi-threaded programming and operating systems concepts Experience with digital audio programming and solid debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications


BS or MS in CS, EE, or related experience. At least two years of experience working in a collaborative software development environment.
