Crypto Test Engineer

Job Description
NKI is looking for a test engineer to provide security and functional testing for cryptographic network systems. This is an exciting position which will introduce networking professionals to cutting edge networks and cryptographic systems.
Salary Range: $101,234 - $131,610 depending on experience
Responsibilities Include

• Perform configuration and set up of networked cryptographic devices in a variety of network DoD systems and environments
• Perform functional and performance testing of devices to determine suitability with operational military capabilities
• Develop test reports and user guides
• Answer technical queries and assist Navy users
• Create/Maintain documentation of system configuration

Preferred Experience

• Networking (Basic routing, use of Cisco IOS, knowledge of VPNs)
• Experience administering Linux / CentOS (RHCSA preferred)
• Security Certifications (CISSP, CompTIA+, Security+)
• Experience configuring/managing cryptographic devices and COMSEC handling
• Experience with key management systems/PKI concepts
• Experience with VPN tunneling, SSH
• Experience with monitoring tools and their implementation (e.g., Snort and Wireshark)

Travel

• 90% in office 10% Travel with infrequent international travel.
• Valid Passport required

Education

• B.S. degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience

Clearance

• A Must - United States Citizenship and a US DoD clearance
• Experience with Government Crypto devices preferred
