We are looking for our next Drain Technician!

Our Drain Technicians are responsible for identifying and diagnosing drain and sewer piping issues, restoring proper flow, and advising customers on next steps. This includes recommending a Camera Technician for a comprehensive camera inspection of the main sewer line. Drain Technicians are expected to deliver high-quality work, complete jobs on time, and adhere to customer agreements and local plumbing codes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform drain clearing services and provide detailed assessments of plumbing systems.
  • Guide homeowners on next steps for permanent sewer line repairs.
  • Maintain efficiency while keeping work areas clean, organized, and presentable.
  • Collaborate with the Camera Technician, Dispatch, and Sewer Supervisor to deliver customer solutions.
  • Represent the company professionally and demonstrate its core ethics.
  • Maintain a strong customer focus and communicate effectively and politely.
  • Work as part of a team, supporting managers and other departments as needed.
  • Attend and actively participate in department meetings.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of sewer systems, repairs, and installations using appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Exhibit strong technical writing skills with a focus on accuracy, clarity, and quality.
  • Follow safety practices and procedures, promptly reporting any violations to the Sewer Supervisor.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Extensive knowledge of sewer systems.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to evaluate team performance, provide field coaching, and ensure job quality.
  • Strong diagnostic and analytical skills.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication with customers, team members, dispatch, and management.
  • High school diploma or GED; additional training or education in plumbing is preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of plumbing systems, repairs, and installations.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively with customers, coworkers, and supervisors.
  • Proficiency in using standard plumbing tools, machinery, and equipment.

Work Environment:

Works in field environments across residential job sites, climbing ladders and navigating uneven surfaces. Regularly works in confined spaces and moves materials up to 50 pounds. Operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust.
