Job Summary

Ā 

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the Electronics Engineer position. This role offers the opportunity to collaborate with a diverse and high-performing team dedicated to mission success.

Ā 

The Electronics Engineer will support Navy C4I programs by designing, testing, installing, and maintaining complex electronic systems for naval platforms, including radar, sonar, communications networks, and weapons systems. Responsibilities include analyzing technical data, implementing system upgrades, troubleshooting issues, and resolving technical failures across shipboard and airborne systems to ensure optimal performance and operational readiness.

Key Responsibilities

Ā 

The Electronics Engineer will:

  • Develop and implement maintenance and testing procedures for electrical and electronic components, systems, and equipment
  • Evaluate existing systems, including shipboard power and combat systems, and recommend or design repairs, modifications, and upgrades
  • Create schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation in compliance with applicable military standards (MIL-STD)
  • Perform root cause analysis at the component, unit, and system levels, applying advanced troubleshooting techniques to resolve complex issues
  • Inspect electrical and electronic equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and Naval regulations

Requirements

Skills and Experience

Ā 

The Electronics Engineer II must have:

  • Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility
  • 3+ years of professional experience in electronics engineering or related fields
  • Experience with electronic systems, hardware/software integration, or defense technologies
  • Experience supporting Navy programs
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

Security Clearance

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen.
