Job DetailsJob Location: 9475 Chesapeake Drive SD Division - San Diego, CA 92123Salary Range: $25.00 - $35.00 HourlySUMMARY: Fire Alarm/Low Voltage Technician specializes in the installation, maintenance, repair, and testing of fire alarm systems and related low-voltage electrical components. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, safety codes, and building regulations, with the ability to troubleshoot and ensure systems operate reliably.   DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Install and service alarm panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, and detectors for fire alarm systems. Use a digital multi-meter to troubleshoot ground faults, shorts, and open circuits on fire alarm systems. Fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining conduit, junction boxes, terminals, and equipment for fire alarm systems. Strip, pull, and terminate wire to fire alarm devices using crimps, solder, shrink tubing, tape, wire nuts, and terminal blocks. Install, configure, and upgrade fire alarm systems, including panels, audible/visual alarms, pull stations, detectors, and related wiring. Diagnose and repair faults in fire alarm and security systems, identifying and correcting malfunctions. Attach conduits to walls, structures, and fixtures using brackets, clamps, tools, or anchors. Inspect, examine, and test installed systems using fire alarm testing equipment, load testing, visual and audible observation, or other methods Measure and mark conduits for cutting and bending.   *Reliable and predictable attendance is required for the function of this job* *Duties and responsibilities may be changed at any time* QualificationsEducation and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. OSHA-10 and/or CPR and First Aid Training must be completed within the first 3 months of employment.   QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
