Job DetailsLevel: ManagementJob Location: Administrative Offices - San Diego, CA 92101Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: Graduate DegreeSalary Range: $80,000.00 - $85,000.00 SalaryJob Shift: AnyGovernment Partnerships Manager Reports To: President/CEO Supervises: TBD Job Purpose: Strengthen and expand SDRM’s government partnerships, oversee government grants and contracts, and represent SDRM’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Key Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with elected officials and government leaders. Work with the President/CEO to expand SDRM’s influence and government partnerships. Manage government RFPs, grants, contracts, and required reporting. Help plan the annual Mayors Symposium and other events for government partners. Partner with Development to establish and achieve revenue goals. Represent SDRM’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Provide spiritual leadership and continue growing as a follower of Jesus Christ. Help build the long-term vision for Government Partnerships as SDRM works to change the state of homelessness in San Diego County. QualificationsLeadership Essentials Provide Spiritual Leadership for SDRM Help create a culture grounded in prayer and biblical context. Look for opportunities to encourage, serve, and support all SDRM staff. Understand that your calling comes from Jesus Christ and that we represent one another. Strengthen and Expand Government Partnerships Build and maintain a database of mayors, councilmembers, city managers, police chiefs, and other government leaders. Maintain a visible presence at city council meetings and other meetings involving elected officials. Share SDRM's vision for transforming the state of homelessness with public-sector leaders. Learn how each city approaches homelessness, including what is working and what is not. Develop a system for praying regularly for elected officials. Establish a timeline of important elections and track candidates and elected positions. Help schedule and coordinate government speakers for Huddles and other donor events. Oversee Government Grants and Contracts Build a system for tracking government grants and contracts. Collaborate with the COO, Paul Armstrong, and the Grants Department to identify and pursue opportunities. Ensure that all required follow-up reports are completed accurately and submitted on time. Seek new government grant and contract opportunities. Manage reimbursements and disbursements while ensuring appropriate margins. Plan and Organize Government Events and Activities Assist with logistics for the annual Mayors Symposium. Help develop a summit for city managers, police chiefs, or both. Identify new ways to engage government officials and bring them to the Mission. Partner With Development to Achieve Revenue Goals Work with Donor Officers to connect donors with elected officials. Assist the COO in establishing a revenue goal for government contracts and grants. Help expand the bed-fee initiative to additional cities and organizations. Represent Our Mission, Vision, and Values Protect the Mission, pursue the Vision, and reflect the Values of SDRM. Help build the team and expand SDRM's capacity and impact. Be intentional about cultivating diversity among staff and volunteers. Grow as a Follower of Jesus Christ and Spiritual Leader Spend time daily in God's Word and prayer. Model servant leadership. Live out SDRM's values both privately and publicly. Serve as a member of a local church. Strengthen professional and leadership skills through continued learning. Foster a spirit that is coachable, approachable, and humble.
