BioLegend (a division of Revvity, Inc.) is looking for an effective communicator to serve as our Materials Specialist who does well with organization and structure. In this role you will operate in a fast-paced high volume environment, staying in constant communication with customer service, packaging technicians, and shipping representatives to ensure on time delivery with 100% customer satisfaction. This role is essential to keeping the finished goods organized and accounted for. A candidate for this role should also be comfortable with and use discretion when dealing with errors and complaints. This Warehouse/Lab position is a driving factor for inventory process evaluation and improvement. Utilizing advanced knowledge and experience in inventory management that will standardize and streamline existing practices. The areas of potential impact will include inventory transferring/movements, perform data entry in an Enterprise Resource Planning system and updating or creation of standard operation procedures. They will also participate in inventory cycle counts to measure accuracy as well as the review of variances or discrepancies to the root cause and reconciliation. This individual must be detailed oriented with a strong teamwork mentality. They will provide training and provide mentorship to newer associates. This position will work closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Quality Control, Packaging, material specialist, customer service, and Receiving/shipping personnel.

Essential Functions
Transfer materials for internal customer use and for inventory needs
1-2 years warehouse operations experience
Maintain accuracy of inventories for Components and Finish Goods and transfer requests
Perform inventory counts and perform adjustments in the ERP system.
Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
Document processes and procedures used for the material handling.
Perform data entry to document material transactions accurately.
Confirming Customer Complaints and Internal Complaints
Organize and complete inventory related projects.
Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures.
Create and maintain quality documents in accordance with the company’s ISO standards Standard Operation Procedures and Work instructions.
Recommend system/process enhancements.
Understanding of department tasks upstream and downstream impacts.
Demonstrate a broader perspective of inventory processes for the areas.
Mentor and provide guidance for Inventory team members to assist with growth and development.
Audit Inventory control procedures for compliance with ISO requirements and process improvements.
Propose alternate activities to resolve material issues, bottlenecks and gaps between material availability and processing capacity.
Create and Track Key Performance Indicators metrics.
Ensures compliance with company and department policies, procedures, checklists.
Report and communicate with Production, QC, Customer Service, receiving, Planning and Procurement groups to coordinate material and resource requirements to full fill production activities.
Coordinate cross functional meetings to determine appropriate actions to resolve issues.
Performs other duties as assigned/required.
Other projects or responsibilities as may be required.
Create and finalize standard operating procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (WI)
Distribute work effectively to manage the departments responsibilities.
Create quality management system process “Non-Conformance.”

Basic Qualifications:
1-2 years of inventory control experience
HS Diploma or GED
Preferred Qualifications:
1-2 years experience working under aseptic conditions.
Hands-on experience of handling antibody materials or chemical buffers
Previous experience with Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) or ERP
Prior experience in life science, biotechnology industry or process manufacturing industry
Prior experience handling multiple product lines with high volume and high mix of SKU’s
Familiar with Quality Management Systems
Understanding of Lean Six Sigma, JIT, Kanban concepts, 5’s
1-2 years of lab experience in an ISO13485/MDSAP/FDA environment

The pay range for this full-time position is a salary $20.00 – $25.00 per hour USD Annually. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for a new hire in this position. The pay offered to the successful candidate will take into account internal equity, work location, and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
Please note that base pay is only one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range allows for the successful candidate to have an opportunity to progress within the position and develop at our company. This base pay range does not take into account bonuses, equity, or other benefits which may be applicable and are dependent on the level and position offered.
