We are currently seeking candidates for a Full-time Manufacturing Technician 1 or 2 for our San Diego location. This position is for 1st Shift (5:00 am - 2:30 pm).
The Manufacturing Technician 1 or 2 position performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations in layup and panel fabrication and assembly.
Primary Responsibilities:
Handling and managing fragile composite materials.Â
Bond, prep and bonding of composite structures to metallic fittings.Â
Notate usage, traceability, pot life, and out time controls on all adhesive materials used.Â
Report data and interface with other employees and departments.Â
Tooling preparation and release application.Â
Utilize measurement tools such as calipers, rulers, and tape measures for fabricating hardware.Â
Reading and understanding manufacturing blue prints and shop planningÂ
Assist in maintaining overall shop appearance and cleanliness.Â
Basic Qualifications for Level 1Â
HS Diploma or equivalent and 0 - 2 years’ experience with close-tolerance assembly work (e.g. electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, modeling), Â
1+ years of space craft assembly or integration work
Basic Qualifications for Level 2Â
HS Diploma or equivalent and 2 years’ experience with close-tolerance assembly work (e.g. electronics assembly, mechanical assembly, modeling), Â
1+ years of space craft assembly or integration work
Experience working in a composites/manufacturing  environment (space/satellite structures, OR aerospace manufacturing environment)Â
Demonstrated Mechanical Ability.Â

Standard computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office: Word and Excel.Â
Experience with cranes and rigging, forklifts, and similar manufacturing equipmentÂ
Strong attention to detail.Â
Excels in a team environment.Â
Ability to work under limited supervision.Â
Ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.Â
Ability to be on feet for up to 8+ hours each day.Â
Ability to work Overtime and Weekends as needed.Â
