PCI is seeking an experienced Project Manager for its PCI San Diego 571 operations based in San Diego, CA. This individual will lead the planning, coordination, financial management, and successful execution of interior systems projects, providing overall project leadership for metal stud framing, drywall, acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings and wall panels, exterior cladding, plaster, and related specialty contracting scopes while ensuring safety, quality, schedule, client satisfaction, and profitability objectives are achieved

- Lead all aspects of project execution from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with contract requirements.
- Maintain full financial accountability for assigned projects, including forecasting, cost control, revenue recognition, cash flow management, and overall profitability.Â
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, architects, consultants, and trade partners.
- Lead project teams consisting of Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel to achieve project objectives.
- Review contract documents and ensure compliance with scope, schedule, budget, and contract requirements.
- Manage project schedules and oversee recovery planning when schedule impacts occur.
- Direct labor management efforts and monitor productivity trends to maximize field performance.
- Oversee procurement activities, subcontractor management, material buyout, and equipment planning.
- Lead change management efforts, including identification, pricing, negotiation, and resolution of change orders.
- Conduct regular project review meetings and communicate project status, risks, forecasts, and opportunities to leadership.
- Manage project forecasting, monthly financial reporting, and completion cost projections.
- Ensure timely processing of billings, collections, change orders, and contract administration activities.
- Coordinate design-assist, preconstruction, value engineering, and constructability review efforts when applicable.
- Support manpower planning and resource allocation across multiple projects.
- Champion PCI's safety culture by ensuring compliance with all company, customer, and regulatory safety requirements.
- Drive quality assurance and quality control initiatives throughout project execution.
- Identify and mitigate project risks related to schedule, cost, labor, procurement, and customer expectations.
- Mentor and develop Project Engineers and Senior Project Engineers while supporting succession planning within the branch.
- Utilize PCI management systems, including D365, Labor Control, Procore, Clearstory, and forecasting tools, to drive project performance and accountability.
- Participate in business development efforts, customer relationship management, and pursuits to support branch growth.
- Provide leadership and decision-making that aligns with PCI's values, operational standards, and long-term business objectives.

Salary range: annual salary plus non-guaranteed annualized bonus program.
Basic Requirements
Â
- A minimum of 7 years of Construction Management work experience.
- Experienced in Commercial construction.
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Word.
- Strong ability to read, understand and interpret specifications and drawings for PCI’s scopes of work. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong record of establishing and maintaining customer relationships.
- High level of attention to detail and cost analysis.
- Ability to accurately read schedules for sequencing and durations of applicable scopes of work.
- Proficiency with computer takeoff & estimating software such as On-Screen Takeoff and Quickbid.
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and keep each on schedule ensuring that all deadlines are met.
- Ability to communicate well with all levels of employees within the company.
- Must be flexible and enjoy working with a diverse group in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Requirements
- Experience with metal stud framing, drywall systems, acoustical ceilings, specialty ceilings and wall panels, exterior cladding systems, plaster, and other interior and exterior architectural specialty scopes is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science or Construction Management.
- OSHA Certification.
- Willing to travel/relocate based on project needs
