Position Summary

The Regional Recruiter leads recruitment strategy and execution for an assigned region within a multi-facility skilled nursing organization. This role owns leadership-level searches (DON, Administrator, Department Heads), manages regional hiring performance, partners directly with Regional Directors and facility Administrators, and drives measurable outcomes including time-to-fill, retention, and registry reduction. This position serves as the performance anchor for the region and mentors Recruiter I and II team members.

Core Responsibilities

  • Own full-cycle recruitment for Director of Nursing (DON), Administrator, and other leadership roles including Corporate positions (Consultant and Director roles)
  • Oversee high-risk, high-turnover, and high-registry-spend facilities within the region.
  • Run weekly regional recruitment huddles and pipeline reviews.
  • Provide coaching and performance oversight for Recruiter I and Recruiter II team members.
  • Escalate hiring risks and staffing gaps to Recruitment Director and Regional Directors.

Hiring Manager & Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as primary recruitment partner to Regional Directors and facility Administrators.
  • Set clear hiring expectations, service-level agreements (SLAs), and realistic time-to-fill benchmarks.
  • Conduct weekly hiring manager touchpoints to review open requisitions, aging positions, and interview feedback.
  • Provide data-driven updates including submission volume, interview ratios, and offer acceptance trends.
  • Coach hiring managers on interview best practices, decision-making speed, and candidate experience.
  • Address and resolve conflicts related to compensation, urgency, orĀ candidateĀ quality concerns.

Strategic Sourcing & Pipeline Development

  • Develop and maintain leadership talent pipelines for DON, Administrator, and Department Head roles.
  • Engage passive candidates through LinkedIn, professional networks, referrals, and industry associations.
  • Build regional evergreen pipelines for high-volume clinical roles (RN, LVN, CNA, Therapy).
  • Partner with Recruitment Assistants and Sourcers to drive targeted outreach campaigns.
  • Maintain a proactive bench of pre-qualified candidates for crisis or acquisition facilities.

Campus & Community Engagement

  • Represent the organization at campus career fairs, industry conferences, and regional hiring events.
  • Develop partnerships with nursing schools, therapy programs, and healthcare training institutions.
  • Host or participate in informational sessions to build early-career pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and HR to enhance employer branding in the region

Qualifications

  • 5+years healthcare recruitment experience, preferably within skilled nursing or post-acute care.
  • Demonstrated experience filling leadership-level healthcare roles.
  • Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple facilities within a region.
  • Data-driven mindset with experience reporting on KPIs and workforce metrics.
