Rising Star Preschool in San Diego, CA is seeking a dependable and detail‑oriented Preschool Kitchen Coordinator – Cook to join our team. QUALIFICATIONS

Food Handler certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
Knowledge of safe food preparation, hygiene, and sanitation practices

Experience in childcare or school kitchens, familiarity with child nutrition programs such as CACFP, culinary training, experience managing allergies or special diets, and strong organizational skills are preferred.

SCHEDULE: This position offers full-time or part-time hours, Monday through Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM.

WHAT TO EXPECT AS A PRESCHOOL KITCHEN COORDINATOR - COOK

In this full-time or part-time role, you'll plan and prepare nutritious meals, maintain accurate dietary accommodations, and ensure the kitchen remains clean, stocked, and compliant with all safety guidelines. Your day will include monitoring inventory, organizing supplies, documenting meals, supporting licensing standards, and preparing food that meets both quality and nutritional expectations.
