Job Title: Senior Data Analyst

Location: San Diego, CA (On-site)

Reports to: Chief Executive Officer

Position Overview

The Senior Data Analyst will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful migration of SDAR’s data systems from MMSI to iMIS. This position will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, security, and integrity of all data assets. The ideal candidate is:

  • An analytical thinker with excellent technical skills

  • Able to communicate insights clearly to stakeholders across departments

In addition to system migration, the Senior Data Analyst will:

  • Manage data extractions
  • Handle list segmentation
  • Fulfill reporting needs across the organization

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the data migration process from MMSI to iMIS, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and data integrity throughout
  • Serve as the primary contact for data-related tasks, including list segmentation and data pulls
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Sales, Marketing, the Board of Directors, and the Association’s Account Executive
  • Develop, implement, and maintain data quality standards and governance practices
  • Create and manage dashboards and reports to support business decision-making
  • Conduct root cause analysis of data inconsistencies and resolve data issues
  • Design queries, procedures, and scripts for automated data processing
  • Monitor database performance and optimize queries to improve efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational policies
  • Support ad hoc analysis and strategic initiatives led by the CEO

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in data science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (Master’s preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, database management, or business intelligence roles
  • Proven experience with data migration projects and enterprise data systems
  • Expertise in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), and Excel
  • Familiarity with iMIS or similar association management systems is highly desirable
  • Understanding of data governance, quality control, and best practices
