Our team is looking for an experience Sr. Project Manager to provide leadership, planning, organization, control, coordination and direction of Company projects to meet profit and growth objectives in accordance with Jackson & Blanc R.A.I.S.E values. This individual is responsible for the administration of assigned projects, including specific phases of project management under supervision, working with schedules, cost projections, contracts, and project status reports with a goal of meeting or exceeding project margins.


JOB DETAILS


  • Responsible for ground-up project delivery and successful outcome from pre-construction through closeout by working with department leaders to ensure understanding of scope, project timelines and budgets.
  • Lead the successful project management of projects ranging from $1 million to $30+ million.
  • Participate in design development and project schedule.
  • Verify Scope of work is adequately represented.
  • Ensure all job site materials and equipment are on the job site when needed.
  • Identify and resolve obstacles related to project.
  • Review of all construction documents for complete familiarization of the assigned project.
  • Assign and direct resources to assure acceptable profit, maintaining on time completion and complete projects to the satisfaction of the client.
  • Share job cost responsibility with Financial Analyst and Construction Operations Manager by keeping them informed of efforts.
  • Prepare and control budget, schedule, negotiate and award subcontracts; prepare profit projections.
  • Help conduct jobsite coordination meetings and job status reports.
  • Develop staffing plans based on project requirements and communicate and collaborate with Superintendents to monitor productivity.
  • Work with Superintendents to adjust schedules, allocate resources and implement plans to control labor expenses and crew rates.
  • Conduct project close-out duties, including final cost, punch list, final billing, and final collection of fees.
  • Assist in navigation of permitting and engineering process.
  • Schedule, create agenda, and run key project milestone meetings (Release, Kickoff, Control, and Closeout)
  • Work with Superintendents to create and execute the Project Specific Quality Plan (PSQP).
  • Active engagement in a professional or community organization.
  • Actively maintain personal contact with key accounts.
  • Assist in maintaining customer relationships with key clients and participating in marketing/sales functions.
  • Prepare and deliver customer proposals and presentations when applicable.
  • Perform or assist in estimating and bidding construction scope changes of assigned projects.
  • Frequently review planned vs. actual project schedule to assure it remains under control and take immediate action to correct any schedule slippage.
  • Implement system to ensure review of all change orders and an effort will be made to have an authorized signature on all change order prior to work commencing.
  • Work with project foreman to ensure all safety programs are implemented and participate in toolbox and other safety meetings.
  • Utilize PROCORE, COINS and other required company software standards


Candidate Requirements: 

  • Proven ability to lead a team and maximize employee performance through understanding company practices, industry standards and establishing successful project impact.
  • Ability to demonstrate detailed knowledge of HVAC system components and design principles
  • Excellent proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs, Project Management and Estimating Software
  • Has a good understanding of project management tools including Textura, Procore, Building Connected, Bluebeam, Autodesk, etc.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple project types and complexities.
  • Able to effectively communicate with superintendents, subcontractors and owner/clients.


Background Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in construction management, mechanical engineering similar relevant field
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience leading diverse projects specializing in managing HVAC scopes
  • A minimum of 8 years combined experience in field installation and project management in the mechanical industry.
  • 10 years experience in mechanical construction project management, preferably working for a mechanical contractor
  • Experience with plumbing projects a plus
