Job Description Summary:

Manage all quality aspects of the design control process: quality planning; verification and validation planning and execution; risk management; regulatory and compliance support. Provide clarification and guidance to teams on overall quality system with emphasis in design controls. Work closely with Program Managers to ensure design deliverables are met and can be released to limited commercial and/or general release. Identify areas requiring quality improvement and initiates and follows through plans of action necessary for implementation. Support the development of product requirement, product system hazard analysis and design reviews. Support CAPA investigations and CAPA closures. Ensure product technical files and Design History Files are complete and auditable. Follow Quality System Regulations and established procedures. Responsible for assuring departmental compliance with ISO and FDA requirements through supporting internal and external audits, participation on teams, assigned project support, product launches and process improvements, and coordination and resolution of CAPAs, product quality notifications, change notifications and customer complaints. Provide statistical support and expertise and analytical problem solving for product development and manufacturing.

Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. In lieu of a Master’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and two (2) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained, employer will also accept a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any) or related field of study and five (5) years of work experience in the job offered or related occupation in which the required experience was gained. Must also have demonstrated experience in the following: Quality systems and regulatory standards requirements including 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485 and ISO 14971; GMP and regulatory requirements for medical devices; CAPA investigations and CAPA closures; Design Verification and Validation (V&V); CAPA & Root Cause Analysis: CAPA Management, Pareto Analysis, DMAIC, and Failure Investigations; Risk Management: PFMEA, DFMEA, Hazard Analysis, Risk Mitigation and Harms Analysis; Lean Manufacturing; Value Stream Mapping; GD&T; Project Management; Statistical Data Analysis; SolidWorks; and Minitab.

Salary offered for the position is: $142,147.00 - $168,200.00/year.
