Primary Purpose
The Senior Tax Analyst will: review the work of tax staff, ensure completion of filing requirements and financial statement tax disclosures on a timely and accurate basis, respond to tax and financial statement audits, analyze and quantify impacts of current tax law/proposed tax legislation, research tax positions, identify favorable or simplified reporting positions. They will also manage workstreams for filings, provisions, and inquiries, diagnosing root causes in data or process gaps and implementing solutions that reduce risk and cost.Â
Education
- Typically requires a 4-year degree in a relevant field, or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
- CPA or master’s degree in tax or accounting is preferred.
- Typically requires 5 years of related experience with a large CPA firm and/or corporate tax department with tax provision experience.
- Must reside in Southern California or be willing to relocate to San Diego upon hire.
