Position Overview:

As an RN Supervisor you will oversee and manage patient care on the assigned unit. The RN Supervisor will be responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulators. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and direct nursing staff (RNs, LVNs, and CNAs) during shifts, ensuring adequate staffing and high-quality patient care.
  • Manage and coordinate patient care activities, ensuring the delivery of personalized and compassionate care.
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress throughout their stay.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, offering mentorship and support to ensure best practices.
  • Monitor the implementation of treatment plans and adjust as necessary based on patient progress or changes in condition.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, facility policies, and best practices.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs and concerns, ensuring timely interventions for optimal care.
  • Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
  • Perform wound care, administer medications, and provide treatments according to the physician’s orders.
  • Manage and document patient assessments, treatments, and responses in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Act as the point of contact for families, providing updates and addressing concerns in a compassionate manner.
  • Assist with staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure that infection control and safety standards are consistently met.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers of patients, coordinating efforts between departments.
  • Handle emergency situations efficiently and take appropriate actions when necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in 
  • Valid CPR/BLS certification.
  • Previous charge nurse or supervisory experience required.
