Who We Are Looking For:

We’re looking for a friendly, organized Front Deck to be the face of our Scenter. You’ll greet every dog and dog parent, drive membership sign-ups, and keep the front of house running smoothly—while learning every part of how a Scenter operates. This is a hands-on role with a clear path into Manager-in-Training for someone who’s ready to learn the business, coach up, and take on more over time. The right person is warm with people, calm under pressure, and eager to grow.

Compensation & Schedule:

·       Total pay $24–29/hr (base plus tips)
·       Base pay $18–20/hr, with an average of $6–9/hr in service tips on top
·       Merit-based raises as your skills and leadership grow
·       A clear path into Manager-in-Training and beyond through Scenthound career pathing
·       Eligible for overtime, paid sick leave, and meal and rest breaks per California law
·       401(k) retirement plan
·       Complimentary Scenthound membership for your own dog

Why Work at Scenthound:

We’re a membership-based dog wellness brand that provide:

·       A clear career path. A defined track from Front Desk into Manager-in-Training into Assistant General Manager, Scenter Manager, and beyond.
·       Room to grow. Supportive coaching and real opportunities to lead.
·       A team that has your back. Open, supportive communication front to back.
·       A culture built on our values: Dog First, One Pack, Bring Love, Seek Growth, Make a Difference.

What You’ll Do:

·       Greet every dog and dog parent, check dogs in and out, and set the tone for a warm, professional experience
·       Drive membership—explain the Scenthound wellness model, convert trials to memberships, and hit sales and rebooking goals
·       Support scheduling and the daily flow at the front of house
·       Log each dog’s health indicators and details in the S.C.E.N.T. Check app
·       Handle client questions and concerns with professionalism and follow-through
·       Keep the lobby and front of house clean, stocked, and on-brand
·       Support payments, point-of-sale, and accurate record-keeping
·       Cross-train in every Scenter role—Scent Tech and Member Associate—to understand the full operation
·       Shadow and assist with opening and closing procedures
·       Learn how the team drives key results—trial conversion, membership sales, rebooks, productivity, and average ticket value
·       Support onboarding and training of new team members as you develop
·       Take on other tasks as assigned by the Scenter Manager

This Position Requires:

·       Customer service, retail, hospitality, or sales experience preferred
·       Comfort with sales conversations and membership goals
·       Confidence and empathy handling dogs of all sizes and temperaments
·       Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and stand for long periods, with or without reasonable accommodation
·       Strong organizational and time-management skills
·       Basic computer and point-of-sale comfort
·       A reliable means of getting to work
·       Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment

Skills and Abilities:

·       Warm, clear communication with dog parents and teammates
·       A people-first, sales-minded approach
·       Coachability and an eagerness to learn the business
·       Comfort with goals and basic business metrics
·       Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
·       High standards and attention to detail
