The NEVHC Pharmacist assists with the operation of the on-site pharmacy and helps coordinate the delivery of prescriptions to NEVHC health centers.

Reports to: Director of Pharmacy Services and Pharmacy Operations Manager

Qualifications:

1. Doctor of Pharmacy degree with a clinical pharmacy background preferred.
2. Must have a valid and current California Registered Pharmacist's License and be familiar with all Federal and California State laws governing the practice of pharmacy.
3. Demonstrated ability to listen and communicate with others in a professional and caring manner including sensitivity with individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles.
4. Demonstrated ability to set priorities for tasks to work effectively in spite of interruptions and under minimal supervision.   Self-starter, reliable and dependable.  
5. Effective verbal and written communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and others. 
6. Effective work organization skills. 
7. Computer skills in Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.), electronic health record systems, pharmacy computer program and database systems.
8. Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
9. Ability to solve problems and make routine recommendations.
10. Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality about health care and other patient/client information.
11. Ability to be flexible and work in a changing environment.
12. Current California driver’s license, appropriate insurance coverage and a driving record acceptable to the NEVHC’s insurance carrier (if required to drive on the job).
13. The MIS Patient Information System access level is 2.
