San Francisco boutique law firm specializing in representing plaintiffs in insurance coverage disputes seeks an associate with one to five years of experience to join their team.  

Job Description

The attorney will take responsibility for all aspects court litigation. Although supervision is always available, there will be ample and immediate opportunity for considerable individual responsibility. Working in conjunction with senior staff, the litigation attorney will be responsible for:

  • Legal research and drafting pleadings, briefs, and memoranda;
  • All facets of discovery and motion practice;
  • Working collaboratively with other attorneys and staff, clients, and experts witnesses;
  • Preparing for and participating in hearings and trials;
  • Negotiating settlement agreements.

Qualifications

Previous insurance background is a plus but not required. Candidates should possess initiative, strong analytical ability, excellent writing and research skills, an excellent academic record, good judgment, the ability to work independently, and most importantly a strong commitment to obtaining justice for individuals who have been wronged by their insurance company. A healthy sense of humor, willingness to travel, and the ability to work collaboratively with a small group of dedicated, experienced attorneys and staff are also essential.
