Client Service Lead – Veterinary Medicine

SAGE Veterinary Centers – San Francisco is seeking an experienced Client Service Lead to oversee our Client Service team and help deliver an exceptional experience for every client and patient who walks through our doors. This leadership role is ideal for a client service professional with veterinary experience who is passionate about developing teams, creating outstanding client experiences, and supporting operational excellence in a fast-paced specialty hospital.

In Your Day-to-Day, You Will:

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of Client Service Coordinators.
  • Foster a culture of exceptional client service and professionalism.
  • Develop and manage monthly staff schedules to ensure appropriate hospital coverage.
  • Supervise department payroll and staffing costs, including reviewing and approving employee timecards.
  • Serve as a Client Service Coordinator during busy periods or when additional support is needed.
  • Oversee daily financial closing processes to ensure accuracy and accountability.
  • Assist in developing and refining standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve workflow, consistency, and compliance.
  • Drive team performance through coaching, training, and ongoing professional development.
  • Support initiatives that promote client satisfaction, employee engagement, and workplace safety.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to continuously improve department operations.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support hospital success.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of three years of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced client service environment.
  • Veterinary clinic or veterinary hospital experience required.
  • Experience with Vetspire or EzyVet practice management software preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional demeanor with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and communication platforms.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced specialty and emergency hospital environment.
  • Flexible availability to support departmental scheduling needs.
