O'Hagan Meyer is seeking a full-time Docket聽Clerk to join its聽San Francisco,聽CA聽office. We are looking for candidates that聽have an eye for detail,聽resourceful, and care about the聽little things.聽Candidates聽will聽have at least one year of docketing experience, and聽background in聽docketing聽or litigation support聽and聽administration.聽聽

Must聽possess聽professional communication skills (written,聽verbal聽and interpersonal) and can follow procedures and ask questions when unsure.聽聽A paralegal certificate or other legal education is a plus.聽

The聽Docket聽Clerk will聽be responsible for聽calendaring court dates, deadline聽tracking聽and docketing maintenance across multiple jurisdictions.聽聽This is an entry-level role designed for someone detail-oriented, reliable, and eager to build a foundation in litigation support and court procedures.聽聽The Docket Clerk also聽provides聽timely聽reports of response dates on a regular basis and聽works聽on specific projects and research assignments.聽聽聽

Primary Duties Include but are not limited to:聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Review pleadings, correspondence, notices, and聽court聽orders for calendaring requirements.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Accurately calculate deadlines聽in accordance with聽state, federal, appellate, and local court rules under the direction of legal assistants/attorneys.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Enter deadlines into the firm's docketing/calendaring software, CourtAlert.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Calendar hearings, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, CMCs, and trial dates.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Update existing calendar entries when instructed.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Verify attorney/legal assistant instructions before calendaring unusual or ambiguous events.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist聽with opening new matters and聽maintaining聽accurate聽case information in CourtAlert case profiles.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Ensure all deadlines are entered聽timely聽and accurately.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Communicate with legal assistants, paralegals, and attorneys聽regarding聽calendaring questions.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Escalate complex calendaring issues to senior docket staff.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain organized records of docket requests and completed work.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Follow departmental procedures and quality control standards.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Meet departmental turnaround times and serve level聽expectations.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Assist聽with overflow work when needed.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Participate in training and continuing聽education聽on court rule changes.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Maintain confidentiality of client information.聽

路聽聽聽聽聽聽 Help prepare reports and deadline summaries聽

Ideal candidate should have a very strong understanding of聽the litigation process as well as聽Federal, State and Local court rules and procedures, excellent computer skills with knowledge of Adobe Acrobat, MS Excel, and MS Office, including Outlook; excellent oral and written communication skills; exceptional attention to detail; able to work independently as well as with the team; Working well as a team in a congenial office; exceptional organizational skills.聽Experience with CourtAlert or other docketing programs is a plus.聽Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management.聽

Position is聽full-time, M-F with the possibility of some overtime.聽In-Person to start and transition to Hybrid 3x a week after three (3) months聽depending on progress.聽聽Salary based on experience and聽includes聽an聽excellent benefit package.聽
