About the Role
A fast-growing, pre-seed AI startup in the talent acquisition and HR tech space is looking for a Founding Engineer Intern to help build and ship features daily alongside the CTO. The company is building a fully agentic system to automate the headhunting process end-to-end — connecting top talent directly with founders and hiring managers, bypassing traditional job applications entirely.
This is a high-ownership, high-velocity role in a founder-driven culture. You'll work in a hacker-house / remote-forward setup and have direct, measurable impact on the core product from day one.
What You'll Do
Build and ship end-to-end features to production on a daily cadence.
Collaborate closely with the CTO and founding team, owning components from ideation through deployment.
Develop and iterate on a fully agentic system that automates headhunting end-to-end.
Engage directly with users to measure impact on hiring speed and experience.
Contribute to a fast, high-output, low-ego engineering culture.
Work in a hacker-house setup, including potential stints in LatAm locations.
What We're Looking For
Required:
At least 6 months of hands-on experience with React and TypeScript.
Experience with Cursor, Supabase, Prisma, and Typesense in a production React/TypeScript stack.
Full-stack profile — not primarily an ML engineer and not heavily siloed in a single language (e.g., Python, C++).
Strong ownership mindset with the ability to take features from ideation all the way to production.
Background in or demonstrated experience with entrepreneurial, fast-moving, "hacky" environments.
Currently enrolled in or pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Something outstanding on your profile — top GPA, strong university, notable projects, or an active GitHub.
Open to working in hacker houses in Latin America.
Willing to work 7 days per week.
Nice to Have:
Portfolio or sample projects demonstrating full-stack development and open-source contributions.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation details have not been specified for this role. Equity and/or stipend may be discussed during the interview process. Visa sponsorship is available.
Location
This is an on-site role based in San Francisco, CA, with a hacker-house culture that may include working sessions in Latin America. The team operates in a high-intensity, in-person-forward environment.
