Job Purpose:
To ensure maximum Front Office operating efficiency by assisting the Director of Front Office and Front Office Supervisor with the oversight of all operations relating to the Front Office, resulting in high levels of guest satisfaction and associate development.
Essential Job Functions:
- Assists the Director of Front Office to oversee all aspects of Front Office and Bell/Door personnel including service levels, labor standards, coaching and progressive discipline, and labor relations.
- Ensure all needed reports are run.Â
- Continued training done with all associates. Ensure MOS& POE program is consistent.
- Communicate with all departments on continuing basis. Â Especially the communication with the other Front Office Manager and Front office Supervisor each evening/morning.Â
- Handle all guest complaints maintaining a satisfactory impression with the guest on resolving any complaints.Â
- Be familiar with the hotel computer system for training, maintenance and trouble shooting.Â
- Complete rate discrepancy report and make needed changes.Â
- Block/assign applicable arrivals for the following day, i.e., V.I.P.'s, Select Guests, Special Requests, etc.Â
- Complete check-out with balance report.Â
- Complete credit check daily.Â
- Adhere to all Systems & Controls of the Front Office and appropriate areas of responsibilities.Â
- Assist with departmental scheduling and monitoring payroll productivity.Â
- Attend meetings as assigned by the Director of Front Office as needed.
- Ability to work varied days and shifts based on operational needs.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Front Office.
Qualifications:
- At least 3 years directly related experience (Hotel-Front Desk) in a managerial role.
- Must be able to work approximately 50 hours per week, flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have excellent organizational, supervisory, customer service skills.
- Must be able to work well under stressful situations and handle challenges in a professional manner.
- Luxury Hotel Experience Preferred.
- Experience Managing in a Union Environment Preferred.
- Must have 2 years directly related experience (Hotel-Front Desk) in a managerial role.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Must have excellent organizational, supervisory, customer service skills.
- Must be able to work well under stressful situations and handle challenges in a professional manner.
- Luxury Hotel Experience Preferred
- Experience Managing in a Union Environment Preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Occasional lifting, bending, and squatting.Â
Salary Range: $76,000 - $86,000
