Full-Stack Engineer

About the Role

This is a full-stack engineering role at an AI-native commerce platform that is building a direct alternative to the legacy merchant tooling stack. The platform bundles every merchant tool natively, with an AI agent as the primary interface. There is a real product and a substantial codebase already in place — you'll be joining a small, high-caliber team and owning meaningful work from day one.

What You'll Do

• Build across the full stack — back end and front end — and own features end-to-end.

• Treat the front end as a product surface: understand UX and user behaviour, not just implement designs.

• Ship quickly and iterate based on real user feedback.

• Work closely with teammates to make smart decisions and move the product forward.

• Leverage AI/LLM tools and APIs to automate and scale engineering work.

What We're Looking For

Required

• 2+ years of full-stack software development experience across front-end and back-end systems.

• Demonstrated ability to build and ship features across the full stack.

• Practical, hands-on experience with AI/LLM tools and APIs.

• Experience at a high-caliber engineering organisation — VC-backed startup, FAANG, or equivalent.

• Degree from a top-tier university, or equivalent demonstrated through founding a company or shipping a significant product.

• Strong product mindset with a genuine focus on user needs, UX, and user behaviour.

• Ability to work independently with minimal direction and take full ownership of projects.

• Proven track record of iterating quickly based on user feedback.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (product, design, QA).

• Based in San Francisco, CA, or willing to relocate (relocation support available).

• Comfortable with flexible, non-traditional startup hours and working on-site.

Nice to Have

• Portfolio of personal projects or products you've independently built and shipped.

• Prior startup experience or a founder background.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $200,000 – $250,000 per year

• Employer-sponsored relocation assistance for candidates moving to San Francisco
