GTM Engineer

About the Role

A fast-growing AI infrastructure company — building the platform of choice for training and evaluating AI models in Reinforcement Learning (RL) environments — is hiring its first GTM Engineer. This is a ground-floor opportunity to define and scale a go-to-market motion from scratch, working directly with the founding team.

The product resonates deeply with a highly technical buyer profile: ML engineers, AI researchers, and engineering leaders. Success in this role means building systems, not just running plays — combining a strong technical foundation with creative, high-leverage approaches to pipeline generation and outbound automation.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end outbound pipeline — from targeting and enrichment through outreach, follow-up, and meeting booking.

• Build and maintain GTM workflows including outbound email sequencing, CRM automation, lead scoring, and custom internal tooling.

• Aggressively leverage AI tools (automated scrapers, workflow automation, internal tools) to multiply output and efficiency.

• Develop and continuously iterate on messaging that genuinely resonates with ML engineers, AI researchers, and engineering leaders.

• Rapidly learn prospect businesses and industries to understand their pain points and workflows.

• Track pipeline metrics and optimize conversion at every stage of the funnel.

• Collaborate closely with the founding team to build and refine the GTM playbook as the company scales.

What We're Looking For

Must-haves:

• Demonstrated track record of building and running a GTM motion with measurable results, including closing deals.

• CS or engineering background, or extensive hands-on experience with coding and technical projects.

• Proven ability to engage credibly in technical conversations with ML engineers, AI researchers, and engineering leaders.

• Experience building and maintaining GTM workflows: outbound email sequencing, CRM automation, lead scoring, and custom tooling.

• Proven use of AI tools to enhance and scale GTM output (e.g., code scrapers, automation pipelines, internal tools).

• Experience owning and optimizing an end-to-end outbound pipeline, including targeting, enrichment, outreach, and conversion tracking.

• Deep familiarity with GTM tooling (e.g., Clay, Apollo, or equivalent).

• Early-stage startup experience — comfortable operating independently and building from zero.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience selling developer tools, infrastructure, or ML/AI products to technical buyers.

• Experience building outbound systems using tools like Clay, Apollo, or fully custom automation.

• Familiarity with Reinforcement Learning concepts — environments, evals, and benchmarks.

• A history of creative, high-leverage approaches to pipeline generation.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary: $100,000 – $150,000 USD annually

Location

This role is on-site in San Francisco, CA. Candidates must be willing to work from the San Francisco office. Remote and hybrid arrangements are not available for this position.
