About LiveKit

LiveKit is building the infrastructure layer for the voice-driven era of computing. Our platform gives developers everything they need to build, test, deploy, scale, and observe agents in production. Founded in 2021, LiveKit powers voice AI applications for OpenAI, xAI, Salesforce, Coursera, Spotify, and thousands of others, collectively facilitating billions of calls each year.

About the Role

We are hiring an IT Support Specialist to provide high-quality frontline IT support, employee enablement, and device logistics for LiveKit’s distributed team. This role is focused on making sure employees can get productive quickly, get help easily, and rely on IT systems that are simple, well-documented, and low-friction.

You will work primarily across Slack, Google Workspace, Okta, Workspace ONE, and our hardware/logistics workflows. You will partner with Security, Engineering, Operations, and People to support onboarding, offboarding, access requests, endpoint support, and internal documentation.

This is an individual contributor role suited for someone who enjoys hands-on support, clear communication, strong follow-through, and turning repeated requests into scalable self-serve workflows.

You’ll thrive at LiveKit if you are:

  • Obsessed with making the best product and experience for our customers and colleagues.

  • Known as the go-to person for tackling tough, ambiguous problems and bringing order to chaos.

  • A hard worker who can execute quickly while still caring deeply about polish, detail, and quality.

  • A fast learner who frequently picks up new tools, systems, and skills.

What You'll Do

  • Handle day-to-day IT support across time zones — triage, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, access, account, and network issues for the whole company

  • Run a ticketing and prioritization system people actually trust, with clear ownership, timely updates, and follow-through that doesn't need chasing

  • Coordinate IT onboarding so new hires have the right hardware, accounts, apps, and access before day one — and offboarding so returns, deprovisioning, and documentation close out cleanly

  • Own laptop lifecycle logistics end to end: procurement, shipping, repairs, replacements, inventory, returns, and secure disposal

  • Support day-to-day administration of Google Workspace and Slack — user lifecycle, groups, shared drives, permissions, roles, and configuration requests

  • Turn recurring issues into runbooks, self-serve workflows, and lightweight automation, and keep an accurate picture of internal tools, owners, access patterns, and renewals

Who You Are

  • 2+ years in IT support, help desk, or IT operations, ideally somewhere fast-moving or distributed

  • Strong troubleshooting instincts across macOS, SaaS applications, identity and access issues, networking basics, and common endpoint problems

  • Working knowledge of Google Workspace administration and collaboration tooling

  • Familiar with an identity provider such as Okta and an MDM such as Workspace ONE, Jamf, Kandji, or Intune

  • An excellent writer and communicator who can explain a technical fix clearly and keep people informed without burying them

  • You can hold a queue, prioritize honestly, and keep work moving when everything is competing for your attention

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting globally distributed teams, including the special joy of international hardware shipping and device returns

  • Background in asset inventory, procurement workflows, or vendor coordination

  • Exposure to access reviews, MFA, device encryption, patching, or other security-adjacent IT controls

  • You have strong opinions about how a knowledge base should be organized, and you've been right about them before

Our Commitment to You

  • An opportunity to build something truly impactful to the world

  • Contribute to open source alongside world-class engineers

  • Competitive salary and equity package

  • Health, dental, and vision benefits

  • Flexible vacation policy
