UnderĀ theĀ supervisionĀ ofĀ theĀ Practice Manager,Ā guidedĀ byĀ policiesĀ andĀ proceduresĀ ofĀ the Ambulatory Services, the Hospital Assistant III assists in the delivery of care to patients at UCSF Primary Care. The HospitalĀ Assistant III willĀ be primarily responsible for the members of their primary care teamlet as well as providing back up support to other teamlets. The Hospital Assistant III will play a critical role in the patient experience including optimizing clinic flow, providing in and outreach to patients and working collaborativelyĀ withĀ theĀ teamĀ toĀ createĀ aĀ patientĀ centeredĀ environment.Ā ThisĀ positionĀ floats betweenĀ theĀ front andĀ the backĀ officeĀ performing bothĀ clericalĀ andĀ clinicalĀ duties. WorkĀ includesĀ aĀ varietyĀ of personalĀ care and nursingĀ careĀ proceduresĀ includingĀ assuringĀ positiveĀ careĀ outcomes.Ā TheyĀ willĀ performĀ assignedĀ patientĀ care andĀ laboratoryĀ procedures inĀ supportĀ ofĀ servicesĀ providedĀ toĀ patientsĀ withinĀ theĀ practices.Ā TheyĀ areĀ required to learn and be able to assist in all functions of the practices to include back and front office. - Certification from an approved Medical Assistant program; or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Current certification for phlebotomy with CPT-1 certification with the State of California
