  • This position offers growth opportunities, allowing the successful candidate to take on larger responsibilities in finance, recruiting, or legal administration.

The Role

Lucid is a small team building verifiable compute infrastructure. We're looking for someone to help with all things operations.

It's a job for someone who wants to see how a company actually gets built, and who's willing to do the unglamorous parts of that well.

What You'll Do

  • Own calendars, scheduling, and travel for the founding team, including complex multi-party and international coordination

  • Coordinate with finance team on expenses, invoices, receipts, and bookkeeping hygiene

  • Own the office and the in-person experience: space, supplies, equipment, and making sure new hires have what they need on day one

  • Plan offsites, team events, and the occasional customer or investor visit

  • Take on standalone projects as they come up — research, vendor comparisons, process build-out, first drafts of documents and correspondence

What You'll Bring

  • Judgment and discretion. You'll have visibility into fundraising, compensation, candidate pipelines, and customer terms. That has to be safe with you without anyone needing to say so.

  • Follow-through. Things you take on get done, on time, without reminders. Nothing sits in your queue silently.

  • Strong writing. You'll draft emails, documents, and candidate communications that go out under our name.

  • Comfort with ambiguity. A lot of what you'll do doesn't have a process yet. You'll be expected to build one, not wait for one.

  • Fluency with modern tooling — Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, e-signature and expense platforms — and the instinct to automate something the third time you do it by hand.

Bonus

  • Experience at an early-stage startup, especially sub-50 people

  • Exposure to legal, paralegal, or contract administration work

  • Bookkeeping or finance operations experience

  • Recruiting coordination at volume

  • Genuine interest in AI, infrastructure, or technology policy

Where This Goes

This is a role with room to grow. The person who does it well will end up owning larger pieces of how the company runs — finance operations, recruiting, legal administration, or people ops, depending on where their strengths land. If you're looking for a seat that stays exactly as scoped, this isn't it.
