Role Overview

The Relationship Manager owns the full lifecycle of commercial client relationships at TASI® Bank. This role is responsible for originating, structuring, and managing well‑underwritten loans while building durable relationships that support long‑term growth, strong credit performance, and meaningful client partnerships.

TASI® Bank is focused on responsibly growing the balance sheet from $700M to $1B in assets. Relationship Managers play a central role in achieving that goal by deepening existing relationships, originating new business, and ensuring growth is built on sound credit judgment and disciplined execution.

This is not transactional sales. It is relationship ownership, credit stewardship, and accountability over time.

Core Responsibilities

As a Relationship Manager, you are accountable for the performance and integrity of your client portfolio, including:

  • Originating, structuring, and underwriting commercial real estate and C&I loans aligned with the Bank’s growth strategy
  • Owning client relationships end‑to‑end, from initial engagement through payoff
  • Building and managing a focused portfolio of commercial clients with an emphasis on long‑term relationships
  • Developing new business through referrals, community engagement, and direct relationship development
  • Integrating operating deposits, treasury services, and banking solutions into each relationship to support full relationship depth
  • Applying disciplined credit judgment and identifying emerging risks early
  • Actively monitoring portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and credit quality
  • Working closely with Credit, Loan Administration, and Operations to move transactions efficiently from approval through closing and servicing
  • Maintaining accountability for both growth and performance over time

Impact of the Role

Relationship Managers directly influence the trajectory of TASI® Bank’s growth. Through disciplined loan origination and thoughtful relationship development, this role drives asset growth while protecting credit quality.

Success is not measured by volume alone, but by how well portfolios perform over time — reflected in low delinquencies, balanced growth, and clients who view TASI® Bank as a long‑term financial partner. When this role is executed well, growth to $1B is durable, defensible, and repeatable.

Success Indicators

  • A well‑structured portfolio of high‑quality commercial relationships with strong credit performance
  • Consistent loan and deposit growth aligned with Bank objectives
  • Proactive identification and management of credit risk
  • Clients who view you as a trusted advisor, not just a lender
  • Internal partners view you as prepared, disciplined, and accountable
  • Growth that holds up through economic cycles, not just strong quarters

Education & Experience

Required

  • 7 or more years of experience in commercial banking, business banking, or relationship management
  • Demonstrated experience originating, underwriting, and managing CRE and/or C&I loans
  • Strong financial analysis and credit structuring skills
  • Proven ability to develop and manage long‑term client relationships
  • Ability to independently manage a portfolio while collaborating effectively with internal partners

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience managing complex commercial relationships across multiple industries
  • Established referral network and community presence
