About the Role
We're a fast-growing AI/ML data solutions company building the infrastructure that powers frontier AI development. Our platform delivers high-quality multimodal data — video, audio, image, and interaction — to leading AI research teams, large enterprises, and fast-moving AI startups. We're a tight-knit team of ~11–50 people based in San Francisco, and we're looking for a Research & Product Lead to shape how we understand our customers and translate those insights into product strategy.
This is a senior, high-ownership role at the intersection of user research, product management, and go-to-market strategy. You'll work closely with engineering, design, and cross-functional stakeholders to define what we build and why.
What You'll Do
Lead product research initiatives end-to-end — from planning and execution to synthesizing findings into clear, actionable recommendations.
Design and run user research programs using a mix of qualitative interviews, surveys, usability testing, and behavioral analytics.
Translate research insights into product requirements, prioritized roadmaps, and strategic recommendations aligned with business goals.
Define and own product vision, strategy, and go-to-market plans for key product areas.
Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to deliver well-scoped, high-impact features on a predictable cadence.
Establish and track OKRs and product metrics; use data to continuously inform prioritization and decision-making.
Champion the voice of the customer across the organization, ensuring research surfaces real pain points and opportunities.
Mentor and potentially grow a team of product managers or researchers over time.
What We're Looking For
Must-haves:
5+ years of experience in product management, product strategy, or a related product leadership role.
Demonstrated track record leading product research or user research programs, including hands-on user discovery.
Strong ability to translate research findings into product requirements, roadmap decisions, and strategic direction.
Proficiency with user research methodologies: qualitative interviews, surveys, usability testing, and product analytics.
Experience with product management tools and frameworks — roadmapping, prioritization, OKRs, user stories.
Proven ability to collaborate with engineering, design, and other cross-functional teams to ship products.
Experience defining product strategy, vision, and/or go-to-market plans.
Comfort interpreting product metrics and using data to drive decisions.
Nice-to-haves:
Background in a specific industry vertical — B2B SaaS, AI/ML tooling, developer platforms, or enterprise data products.
Hands-on experience with advanced research or analytics platforms (e.g., user testing software, survey tools, BI/analytics platforms).
Experience leading, mentoring, or growing a product or research team.
Prior experience at high-caliber tech companies (e.g., in AI infrastructure, cloud, or data tooling).
Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $150,000 – $250,000 USD annually, depending on experience.
Equity participation in a well-funded, early-stage AI company.
Opportunity to have outsized impact in a rapidly scaling team.
Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
